Oaklands Mansion is nestled in Oaklands Park, a native tree arboretum and natural wetlands, which includes Maney Spring as well as heritage and native gardens. These three components of Oaklands Park provide a unique setting to learn about uses of plants, both in history and in modern times.

“Oaklands Park is downtown Murfreesboro’s largest natural wetland area and is a rarity for such a densely populated community,” says Connor Moss, Curator and Master Gardener at Oaklands Mansion. “The park provides a fascinating study area for both its wildlife and plant-life, and spring is the best time to see them beginning to emerge.”

If you would like to tour the mansion, tours begin on the hour and a short video is offered on the half hour.  General admission to the mansion is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, military and AAA, $6 for children and students, call for group rates.
