Children ages 6 through 12 will have a chance to play under the old Oak trees during our summer camp at Oaklands Mansion in Murfreesboro. This enriching day camp is slated for June 25 – 29, 2018, from
10:00 a.m. to 12 noon.
Children will enjoy games from the past as we spend time outside “unplugged” playing in the fields and walking the nature trails. They will also enjoy traveling back through time to experience life as a visitor in the nineteenth century as they “play house” in the Lytle Hands-On Educational Building.
Tuition is $90 and due with reservation. The camp runs from 10:00 a.m.-12 noon. Space is limited and reservations can be made by calling Mary Beth Nevills at (615) 893-0022 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
“We look forward to engaging the children of our community in hands-on activities that will promote their understanding and appreciation of our local history,” said Mary Beth Nevills, Educational Director.
Oaklands Mansion is nestled in Oaklands Park, a native tree arboretum and natural wetlands, which includes Maney Spring as well as heritage and native gardens. Oaklands Visitors Center houses a gift shop and Maney Reception Hall for special events and temporary exhibitions.
