Surrounded by the 1860’s furnishings of Oaklands Mansion, students will be introduced to crafts and history, while being instructed in nineteenth century manners, museum etiquette, and skills expected of young ladies of the period.
“We are honored to give young ladies the experience of hands-on activities that have been passed down from one generation to another,” said Mary Beth Nevills, Educational Director.
The academy will operate from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost for the academy is $125. Limited space is available. Registration must be received by June 12, 2017. Reservations are currently being accepted and can be made by calling Mary Beth Nevills at (615) 893-0022. Registration forms are also available on the web site at www.OaklandsMansion.org.
